'Larger than life' London soul DJ Steve Walsh had a UK top 10 hit with his version of it in 1987 a mere year before he lost his life aged only 29 due to complications after an operation to save his leg after a car crash in Ibiza.
Here's a 'cheesy' clip from Top Of The Pops. The act probably worked well in a club .... but not on 'rent-a-crowd' TOTP studio!

They were originally a trio, Simone Rainford left and 2 new members (the Appleton sisters Nicole and Natalie) joined Shaznay Lewis and Melanie Blatt to form All Saints.

There is also a hideous New Jack Swing version from 1989 by Jeff Redd which is simply too awful to post!
