Tom Bailey [2024] - OMW [Little Saigon Records]

We first encountered the music of Tom Bailey in April '21 with his superb single "Love And Happiness" (not the Al Green song). We've monitored his subsequent releases but sadly none have had the same impact.

However, his latest single "OMW" (on my way) is one of his better ones. It's his third single this year and all have similar artwork so we wonder if an EP/album is in the offing?

We are still unable to find any information about him other than his real name is Tom Bouerie and that he was be has born in France and now lives in London.

Tom Bailey [2021] - Goodbye To Yesterday [Little Saigon Records] (Full album)

Tom Bailey (Bouerie) released his debut album today (29 Oct 2021).  It includes all four singles released this year including the excellent "Love And Happiness" (Apr) and the title track "Goodbye To Yesterday" released just two weeks ago, "The Rain" (Jul) and "People Need People" (Jun). 

Two of the nine tracks are interludes leaving just three new songs, the moody  "Itiila" and "Struggle To Remember" and probably the standout of the three "Vice City".

Since I heard, what will no doubt be one of my tunes of the year, "Love And Happiness" from Tom Bailey in April I always listen eagerly to his new releases.  Sadly none yet have quite lived up to that song but I think this latest release "Goodbye To Yesterday" is the closest he's got.

This is a very nice laid back, soulful and mellow tune released today (13 Oct 2021). If you haven't yet had the pleasure of listening to "Love And Happiness" then I suggest you follow the link immediately to see what you missed!

I've made no secret for my love of Tom Bailey's "Love And Happiness" released on 24 Apr this year, so when he releases new material I jump straight on it. However, unfortunately, so far he has not been able to match it. He released his latest single "The Rain" yesterday (15 Jul 2021) which is much better than his last release "People Who Need People" which was more of a funk track. This one has an acoustic, Latin feel.

Tom Bailey [2020] - The Way You Make Me Feel [Little Saigon Records]

I absolutely loved Tom Bailey's "Love And Happiness" from earlier this year and can't understand why it only managed to spend one week on the Global Soul chart (although there is a new unofficial remix doing the rounds by one of the Global Soul DJs). 

He's released a new single "People Who Need People" which has a completely different feel (a funk track), but I came across a single he released last Sep (2020). It's a different, more contemporary, take on Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel" from his 1987 "Bad" album.
