PJ Morton [2023] - Watch The Sun Live: The Mansion Sessions [Self Released] (Full Album)

By our reckoning, this is the fourth time PJ Morton has released a version of his Apr '22 album "Watch The Sun". 

A Deluxe Edition in arrived in Oct '22 (which added instrumental versions of most songs), a  filmed version ("Watch The Sun Film") in Dec '22 and today "Watch The Sun Live: The Mansion Sessions".

The track order is different and a couple of songs have been replaced with others i.e. "Love's Disease" and "Biggest Mistake" have been substituted with his last two singles, his latest, a cover of Refugee All Stars 1997 song "Sweetest Thing" (May '23) and "Good Morning" feat. Susan Carol (Feb '23) along with a live Intro which has been added.

A full length video of the whole album has been recorded (below) which PJ states in the intro is to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the albums release, so we presume it was recorded earlier in the year.

PJ Morton [2023] - The Sweetest Thing [Self Released]

Last week we posted a live studio video of a performance of PJ Morton's version of "The Sweetest Thing" which he uploaded to his YouTube channel on 28 Apr. The song was originally recorded by  Refugee Camp All-Stars featuring Lauryn Hill. in 1997 and also featured on the "Love Jones" soundtrack.

We speculated as to whether he would release it as a single and he has today (12 May '23).

Last Friday (28 Apr '23) PJ Morton dropped a live studio video of a performance of his new version of "The Sweetest Thing" originally recorded by  Refugee Camp All-Stars featuring Lauryn Hill. in 1997 which also featured on the "Love Jones" soundtrack.

Whether or not it will be his next single or a new album track remains to be see, but we hope so as it's a sur fire winner.

PJ Morton Feat. Susan Carol [2023] - Good Morning [Morton Records] NEW VIDEO

Released and posted on Friday but yesterday a new video for the new single from PJ Morton was posted. It features Susan Carol from L.A. who appeared on these pages in August last year with a single "Run Me My Money".

The single, "Good Morning", released on Friday (10 Feb '23), is his first for almost a year with his last being "Be Like Water (feat. Stevie Wonder & Nas)" in Mar 2022.
