Candace Woodson [2022] - Steal The Night [Self Released]

Candace Woodson has decided to pair up her latest release "(Trying To Be) Perfect" with another track "Steal The Night" as a double single. Both sides will be on her forthcoming album "Perfect". It's a contrast to her cover of the Valerie Ashford written ballad as she's back with an uptempo dance number along the lines of "Midas Touch".

Ania Garvey & Binky Womack [2022] - Anywhere With You (Metro Beatz Way 2 Hot Mix) [UltimateSoulUK]

A new single from London-based Ania Garvey is a collaboration with Binky Womack on a hard-hitting, funky dance number "Anywhere (Metro Beatz Way 2 Hot Mix)". Produced and mixed by Metro Beatz from North Carolina who has worked with Jay Z. I believe that it will be available on Friday (7 Jan 2021).

Ania was the eighth of eleven children and was born in Grand Bahama. After being a top athlete in her school days she became a commercial banker. It was on the advice of Donna Summer who she met in Florida that she became a singer.

Her first single, "Summer Is The Coldest Season" was released in 2017 and reached #2 on the UK Soul Chart. She has since released "Let's Feel Good", "I Appreciate You", "He Asked Me", "I Tried To Tell You" and "I Want You". This year she has already released  "Tell Me What You Want" and "Take Your Time".

She is married to Cheeky Radio presenter Lee Wells.

Another that comes with four different mixes but I've gone with the 'basic' mix as the two 80s mixes are definately not for me, the other mix is just an extended mix.

Released on 12 Feb 2021. It's basically a dance track, what more can I say.

Dyanna Fearon is the niece of Galaxy's Phil Fearon who had a few hits in the 80s.

Stupid Human [2021] - Star In The Ghetto (Original Mix) [Self-Released]

A 'funked up' version of the Average White Band & Ben E. King track from 1977 by Stupid Human released 7 Jan 2021, which is actually a (digital) reissue as it was originally released 19 Dec 2011 on 12" vinyl.  

The B side is a cover of Steve 'Scotsman' Harvey - Something Special which was a UK club hit which reached #46 on UK chart in 1983, but not worthy of posting here as it just sounds like a mash up of beats!

I'd forgotten how good this record actually is ... far too good to chart in UK, although it did make #25 US R&B!
