Color Me Badd [2022] - California Dreamin' [Industry Music Group] OUT NOW on VINYL

Posted on the day of digital release (5 May), but today (18 May 2022) the new single from Color Me Badd "California Dreamin'" is available on vinyl 7" (black $15 or pink $25) from Industry Music Group's Bandcamp store. 

I think these will sell like the proverbial hot cakes, and as such will inevitably lead to demand on the resale market, so don't be surprised to see these selling for at least double the price or more when they're sold out, so if you want one I'd suggest getting your order in quickly for shipping from 23 May.

The song is an original, very much in the Silk Sonic vibe, written by group member Mark Calderon and will have instant appeal to the southern California lowrider scene.

Yes and no are the answers to both your questions! Yes it IS the same Color Me Badd who did "I Wanna Sex You Up" in 1991, and No it's NOT the same song as The Mamas & The Papas 1965 hit. It's an original song written by group member Mark Calderon.

It may surprise you when you hear it as "California Dreamin" is a retro sweet soul lowrider tune as generally put out by Industry Music Group and it's not bad at all and, if 'soul snobbery' is put to one side, it could do well.
