Amaria [2024] - Beggin' [Fashionably Early Records]

L.A. based Amaria (McGee) from Tampa, FL, last featured here with a COLORS SHOW  performance of "Day By Day" released on 29 Sep. she later released a studio version.

She made her introduction in 2021 with a single called "Morning" followed by a further seven singles before her debut album "Bittersweet" in Aug '21. Another three singles later came her second album "All For You" in Apr '23 which included all three singles  "All For You", "Get Away" and "Secrets".

She now releases her first single of 2024 titled "Beggin'", which sounds very familiar and reminiscent of something we can't quite place (Patrice Rushen's name springs to mind for some reason?), but it appears to be an original song.

Her first release since then is a COLORS SHOW  performance of "Day By Day" released on 29 Sep.

Amaria [2023] - All For You [Fashionably Early Records] (Full Album)

Amaria (McGee) from Tampa, FL, debuted in 2021 with a single called "Morning" and followed it up with "Waiting". Since then she's gone on to release another six singles before her debut album "Bittersweet" in Aug '21.

After another three singles in 2022/23 she has now released her second album "All For You" today (26 Apr '23). which includes all three singles  "All For You", "Get Away" and her latest "Secrets" (music video for all three included below).

That leaves four new songs with Moonchild's ubiquitous Amber Navran cropping up again as a featured guest on one of the standouts "Lying To You". Another standout is "Only" which draws you in with a sultry muted jazz horn.

All in all it's a pretty solid set if you like the dreamy, wispy jazz flavoured neo soul sound.

Her latest single featured here was  "All For You" featuring Destin Conrad in Oct '22. Since then she released a single "Get Away" in Feb and has a new one out today called "Secrets".
