The second single from Kenny Goodman following the southern
soul sounding "All Ya' Need" (1 Jul) is "Look What Love Can Do" released today.
The intro has a big band sound before settling into a
mellow and soulful mid-tempo retro tune interjected with stabs of
brass from Dalton Snow (trumpet) and Ian Curriden (sax).
Goodman was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, honing his voice in school
and church choirs. He was influenced by his fathers collection of
old-school music. He moved to Maryland aged 17 and worked a variety
of jobs and met aspiring singer/songwriter Collin Westerlund while working
together on a construction site who saw his potential. Kenny brought him
to Arkansas House Records in Bentonville to sing songs that he had written
for him.
