Let's start the day with something a little different. A dramatic 70s Blaxploitation style movie theme "The Pit" from afro-psych band Black Market Brass which is the lead
single from a forthcoming third album "Hox" due on 8 Sep on Colemine.
The Minneapolis based, 9 piece band has recently celebrated their 10th
year together and, according to their people, instead of closing their
decade together with more of the same, they've explored new
territory for their new album which they say is a new take on afro-beat
fused with heavy, hypnotic, sci-fi sounds that reflect the band’s myriad
of influences as record collectors.
As with their previous recordings, this album was recorded live to
analogue tape at Future Condo, studio in Minneapolis.
