As mentioned yesterday when we posted the new music video for his current
single, "Make Some Time", trombonist Jeff Bradshaw celebrates 20 years of
recording with a new album "Jeff Bradshaw 20".
We have to admit that we are very pleasantly surprised by it as we
expected that it would be filled with smooth jazz instrumentals. Whilst
there are plenty of instrumentals, there is jazz and there is Jazz.
Eric Roberson features on the single above, but other guest artists
include Mike Burton, Raheem DeVaughn & Chill Moody (on "Ay Ay Ay" which has more than a passing nod to Marvin's "I Want You"), Rebecca
Jade, Keith Phelps, Saint Ezekiel, Liz Vaughn, Jamie Knight and B
Slade.
There's plenty for soulies to get there ears around and our choices are
the current single "Make Some Time" feat. Eric Roberson (obviously), "Destiny" feat. Rebecca Jade, "God Says" feat. Jamie Knight (a female vocalist not male by the
way), "Don't Wanna Wait" feat. Liz Vaughn (which hints at Bob Marley's "Waiting In
Vain") and B Slade features on "The Maintenace Man" which has a more contemporary feel.
