A 12 CD box set "Soul'd Out: The Complete Wattstax Collection" is out today and is also available digitally. I don't propose to post
the whole set as it consists of 130 tracks, so instead have cherry picked
a selection of tracks from it.
Disc 1-11 are live recordings, the first six recorded at
Wattstax
on 20 Aug 1972, disc 7-11 at The Summit Club between 23 Sep and 4 Oct 1972
and the last disc consists of studio recordings, several previously
unissued. The complete set is just over 12 hours (12:20) and the CD set comes
with a 76 page colour booklet.
Personally I think the CD is rather pricey at £181.52 as that's almost
£15.50 per disc!
