A debut single from Gail Patterson "Nothin' but the Truth", released at the end of Jan '23. I believe that she was
previously known as Gail Shipp and has performed background vocals for
Johnny Gill, Kenny Lattimore and Stacy Lattisaw. She hails from
Washington D.C. and curiously the song writer credit is to Al Johnson who,
if it's the same singer who started out with The Unifecs, is also from
Washington D.C., as are Gill, Lattimore and Lattisaw. Therefore, I wondered if he'd recorded the song previously
but can find no trace of it. If you know then leave a comment.
If it's the same Al Johnson, he died in 2013 so the song must be at least ten years old, but has a timeless quality and could easily have been written in the 70s or 80s.
