CRUZ The Dame (aka Crystal Heimberger) from Atlanta,GA, featured here last
year with a pair of singles, "Wanna Live" and "Sweet Thang", released on the same day (7 Jul 2020) which appeared to be her first
releases. When they were originally posted no videos were available but
there is now one for "Wanna Live" which is included below.
She's released a few more since then which have passed us by, but has
released another two in the last week or so. The better of the two is
"What Have You Done" (27 Jan '23). The latest "Fool For You" (3 Feb '23) has a familiar sound as it has a bit of a retro 80s
feel reminiscent of a bassline from Rene & Angela ("I'll Be
Good"?).
When we posted her first two single we surmised that she also uses the name Crystal Guidry as she is married to music executive Demmette Guidry who helped launch the careers of many prominent recording artists
including Beyoncé/Destinys Child, Lauryn Hill/Fugees, Maxwell, Cypress
Hill, Mary Mary, Alicia Keys, Leela James and Jaheim and several others.
