A three track release from Quinn Walls who I can find
nothing about. "The Quinn Walls Experiance" (as spelt incorrectly) appears to be his first release. I did find a
Quinn Anthony Walls on Soundcloud who is from Orangeburg, SC, who sounds
like it could be the same singer. One for the Southern Soul lovers.
What drew me initially to it was the cover of Tyrone Davis' "Turning Point" also recorded by Mack Simmons the following year in 1976. The song was
written by Leo Graham whose other claim to fame was writing "Shining Star"
for The Manhattans. He wrote and performed background vocals on many of Tyrone Davis albums in the late 70s and 80s.
I'm not sure whether the other two songs are originals or covers as they
are all credited on Spotify to Walls and obviously he didn't write "Turning
Point". I don't recognise them but have a feeling "Separate Ways" may not be
an original but it's a pleasant song. If you know then please leave a
comment.
