On 2 Jan '23 Ciara Leah released a five track EP "Love Money" from which the title track was the standout. It has now been released
as a single yesterday (30 Jan '23) titled "Love Money 12 inch", yet it is exactly the same length (4:38) as the EP and sounds exactly
the same to these ears, but it does also come with an instrumental
version.
The EP was recorded live and was funded by FACTOR (the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings), which is a public/private partnership that supports recordings by Canadian musicians and music companies make recordings available to a wider public.
Ciara Leah (Ciara O'Reilly) (pronounced 'KEY Are Aliyah')
is a musician, singer-songwriter and producer from Toronto. Apart from the
current single and EP (from which another single "27" was released in Nov '22), she only has one other recording listed on the main DSPs from 2020, a single "Vibe", although another single, a 'trippy' futuristic instrumental "Eye Need Space" (Apr '21), is available on Bandcamp if you're that way inclined.
She has a few videos on her YouTube channel, one of interest is a cover
of The Jones Girls "Nights Over Egypt" with KC Roberts on guitar filmed at the B-Side Lounge in Toronto. There
is also another of Roy Ayers' "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" shot on Ward's Island, Toronto.
