Richie Goods and in-demand vibes and marimba percussionist
Chien Chien Lu collaborate on a forthcoming album "Connected" which is due on 13 Jan 2023.
The third single from the album is a cover of Donny Hathaway's classic "Someday We'll All Be Free" featuring none other than jazz drummer and vocalist
Jamison Ross.
The album will include contributions from drummer Allan Mednard (drums),
Miki Hayama (keys) and Quintin Zoto (guitar) with special guests vocalists
Sy Smith, Jamison Ross and Pastor Dr. Adolfus Lacey, drummers Lil John
Roberts and David Frazier Jr, percussionist Danny Sadownick, keyboardist
BIGYUKI, Shedrick Mitchell on organ and piano, Brett Williams on keys and
Rhodes and Mike King on Rhodes and organ.
Richie Goods is the youngest person ever inducted into the Pittsburgh Jazz
Hall of Fame. He moved to NYC after graduating from the prestigious jazz
program at Berklee College of Music, where he studied under jazz legends Ron
Carter and Ray Brown.
His resume includes performing with artists ranging from the Headhunters, Stanley Turrentine, Lenny White, Milt Jackson, Manhattan Transfer, Walter Beasley, Brian
McKnight, DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, Whitney Houston and
Christina Aguilera and includes Grammy award-winning and platinum albums of
Alicia Keys and Common and has recently toured with Grammy-winning
trumpeter, Chris Botti.
