The first new material from Lamone since "You Complete Me" featuring Najee in Jul '21 (with a
CT Remix
of it in Aug) is released today in the form of "Rhythm and Blues" featuring CL Smooth. (Corey Brent Penn, Sr.) who was one half of hip-hop duo Pete Rock & CL Smooth. The song samples/interpolates Ernie Hines "Our Generation" from
"Electrified" 1972.
Lamone (Andrews) released his debut album 'Electrically Speaking' in 2007, and another in 2016 titled 'Smooth'. After an absence of four years he re-emerged in 2021 with "Born To Be King" followed by a cover of Eddie Kendricks' "Girl You Need A Change Of Mind".
