Those Guys From Athens
are Greek duo DJ Snatch & Blacksoul who got together in Dec 2019. They
released a set of four edits via Too Slow To Disco on Friday (2 Sep
2022).
The lead track "Burnin' Up" is a rework of Champaign's "I'm On Fire" from their 1981 debut album "How
'Bout Us" which has been given the nod of approval from group leader Pauli
Carman who has re-recorded the vocals for this release.
The second track "She" is annoyingly familiar that I can't place. "So Nice" is Leroy Hutson "So Nice" ("Unforgettable" 1979) and the final track, of course, is Brief
Encounter's "Human" (1977)
The four tracks are available digitally or as a pair of coloured, limited
edition, 7" vinyl singles. "Burning Up" has also been released digitally
on the main DSPs. e.g.
