If you cast your mind back to March you may recall the first edition of
California Funk Machine, Vol 1. The second volume is out today and attacks 80s dance tunes. The brains
behind this project is L.A. based Parisian expat Emmanuel 'U-Nam' Abiteboul who has recruited a host of skilled musicians, far too many to
mention them all.
All the tracks should be well known to you already and all but one are
covers.
In track list order they are EWF (1981), George Duke (1983), Midnight Star
(1986), Herbie Hancock (1983), Jesse Johnson (1986), U-Nam original, Kool
& The Gang (1981), Maze (1989), Dayton (1983), Patrice Rushen
(1984).
