In this week's earlier 'tongue-in-cheek' posts, re. the resignation of government ministers
and the pending resignation of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, I missed a
trick omitting to post this one! It's old news now but hey ho, it's a great tune so well worth posting anyway!
It's a modern/northern soul classic from
The Natural Four with "Hanging On To A Lie" which is quite hard to get hold of and would probably set you back
around £400-£500 if and when you could find one.
Boola-Boola was a short-lived label based in Oakland, CA, (1967-73) owned by Willie Hoskins (W.H. in cat.no.) who produced and arranged the song. The Natural Four cut their first single "I Thought You Were Mine" on the label in 1967, the first release on the label, which is also considered a Northern Soul classic.

Here is an excellent band from the seventies who released 4 LPs including 3 on Curtis Mayfield's Curtom label produced by the great Leroy Hutson!!!
