Shamika Brown is from Atlanta, GA, and released a debut album "I Am Who I Am" in 2018. Following a few singles she released her second album "Center Of Attention" on 28 Jan 2022. Her first release since the is this single "Heart of the City" which could be another belated release as it is being listed as 21 Jul 2022 but
has only appeared on Spotify today.
Whilst not credited, it's almost certainly 'inspired' by a line from Bobby
'Blue' Bland's "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City" from 1974.
