Lacuna Mirk is an alter ego for Nathan Rogers who
seems to have emerged (with this name at least) only in March 2022. He's
released an album and "Bringing Me Joy" is his second single.
The uncredited female vocal made me curious as to whether this was a
sample and it transpires that it uses Ka$h Munee "Attitude Of Gratitude" released on 26 Apr 2022. Now, whether that samples something else is
the question? I strongly suspect it does as track 3 on the same album, "All
I Need", also samples aimi "Baby" (or at least uses the same sample which is perhaps one of those free samples often used given that this track also uses it?). I'll check out the remainder of Ka$h Munee album to see if it's worth posting the full album.
Given that the cover photo is a London scene I would assume (but can't be
certain) that he's from London or at least UK based but I can find no
information about him.
