A single titled "What About?" released today from a group named Mama, There Goes That Band who are four lifelong friends and musical brothers Marlon Weathersby, Markovic Drummond, Aljay Boyd, and SIDney Howard. This appears to be their ninth single since 2020.
They started out as Ebony Spectrum then Ebony Specktrum, then E-Specktrum, then ESPecktrum, then Flying STAR'Heart. In the summer of 1979, they rented a 24-track commercial studio to cut a 5-song EP in one session. SIDney Howard was 21, going into his senior year at university.
I found this article about SIDney Howard written by soul journalist Tony Cummings who was a writer for Black Music magazine in 70s.
