L. Young (Lawrence Terron Young) was born in Louisville, KY,
and is a singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, keyboardist based in
L.A.
To date he has released five albums "They Just Don't Know" (2004), "The 12th Letter" (2008), "ReVerb" (2013) and "4Ever Young" (2015) and "Wrinkles in Time" (2018)
The title track from the album "ReVerb" ("Love Is A Verb") gave L. Young his first radio hit and top #20 Billboard Urban A/C chart
hit. "Wrinkles in Time" saw 3 singles go to #1 on the UK Soul Charts.
He has appeared on stage with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Seal, David
Foster, BabyFace, Eric Benet, Aaron Neville, Lalah Hathaway, Toni Tony
Tone', Mint Condition, En Vogue, Patti LaBelle, Toni Braxton, Gladys Knight,
Keith Sweat, and Teena Marie just to name a few.
L. has many song writing and production credits including a top 5 single
with the title track from Jesse J's debut album "Hot Sauce" (2011), Keke
Wyatt Who Knew" (2010) and "Unbelievable" (2011) and several soundtracks
including "Barbershop Soundtrack", "Booty Call", "Dangerous Grounds", "The
Long Kiss Goodnight" and "Dough Boys". In addition he has credits on many
network tv shows such as BET's "Real Husbands of Hollywood, ABC's According
To Jim, 20/20, One Life To Live, VH1's Basketball Wives, and USA Network's
Burn Notice. He has also appeared and/or performed on various television
shows, movies, and professional theater productions such as NBC's Scrubs,
Nickelodeon's Just Jordan, New Line Cinema's Hair Spray. and August Wilson's
Fences.
His latest single "I Ain't Gonna Waste Your Time" has been circulating on promo to a select few DJs and he has decided to
release it on Friday (11 Mar 2022).
Some may recall a single he released on vinyl on Soultownie in 2019. An
excellent modern soul double-sider which included "Can't Get You Off My
Mind" / "Ms-Supa Thick".
