Trombone Shorty is Troy Andrews from New Orleans who has a
rich musical heritage as his brother James Andrews is a
trumpeter/bandleader and their grandfather was Jessie Hill who had a hit
in 1960 with "Ooh Poo Pah Doo".
He released a single yesterday "Come Back" which has a horn riff which reminds me of EWF ("Getaway?)". The 'rare' single release from him is presumably to promote his forthcoming album
"Lifted" due on 29 Apr 2022.
