Teddy Swims is Jaten Dimsdale from Atlanta,GA. His stage
surname is an acronym of 'Someone Who Isn’t Me Sometimes'
He rose to fame when he posted a video of a cover of Michael Jackson's
"Rock With You" in 2019 on the tenth anniversary of his death (25 Jun 2009). On the
strength of that, and a few more covers, he was signed to Warner in 2020 and
released his first official single "Picky".
"911" was released as a single on 7 Jan 2022 and has more recently appeared on
a new 6 track EP "Tough Love" on 21 Jan 2022.
He has a wealth of material on his YouTube channel of many live
covers. I've included a few below "What's Going On" (Marvin Gaye), "Never
Too Much" (Luther Vandross) and "She's Gone" (Hall & Oates) as well as a
live version of his latest single "911".
And, of course, the video of "Rock With You" which kicked off his
career!
