This appears to be a debut release from Misa Lowe from Atlanta, GA, but after a bit of searching on YouTube it would
seem that she used to go by the name Mya Parker with live videos of cover
versions from 9/10 years ago on her channel. She is assisted on four
of the five tracks on the "Back To Life" EP (released 24 Dec 2021) by Ashley Lowe (her sister?) who also
co-wrote all of the tracks with mainly Dionte Sherrill.
The tracks are all jazzy neo soul numbers except the last track "Rebellion"
which is a bit strange and out of keeping with the rest of the EP. My
favourite track on first listen is "Misery" which sounds like it has sections of "Never Can Say Goodbye" (Jackson 5 /
Gloria Gaynor) in it as from 35 seconds in it had me scrambling my brain
cells together trying to think what it reminded me of!
