Originally released on 16 Oct 2021, a new mix of "I Just Want To Love You" was produced and let loose on 20 Dec 2021 by La'Zay aka Lincoln Zay Gilmore who was a member (vocals & guitar) of the Philly group Breakwater founded in 1971 who released two highly regarded albums in 1978 ("Breakwater") and 1980 ("Splashdown") on Arista.
The new mix removes the rock style guitar from the previous mix hence it's about a minute shorter.
One of the members of Breakwater, Kae Williams Jr., moved to NYC and went on to form a one album studio group Hi-Gloss who had an 80s smash with "You'll Never Know", and also worked with Change, Ritchie Family and B.B.&Q. Band as well as Curtis Hairston. After moving back to Philly he worked with Phyllis Hyman, George Howard and Miki Howard .
