Sophia Galaté is from L.A. and studied music in Chicago
moving back to L.A. when she graduated. She released her debut single "Body" last Sep. (2020). and followed it with two more ("Superstar Interlude" (cover of Usher 2004) and "Love Me") before releasing her debut album "SOFIA" on 19 Nov 2021 which includes her first and third singles.
It's a classy soulful jazz set which oozes quality and shows hints of her
stated influences D'Angelo and Amy Winehouse. She wrote all the songs,
some with the assistance of Sherren Oliva and others with Gene
Noble.
As a bonus I've included a live recording with Gene Noble on D'Angelo's
"Send It". It's a shame that wasn't included on the album.
