Joss Stone (Jocelyn Eva Stoker) broke through in 2003 aged only 16 with her multi-platinum selling debut album "The Soul Sessions" and has now amassed around seven albums since then but the last was 2015 so she must be due a new one some time soon?
She may divide opinion in soul circles, but for me she is one of the best, if not the best, blue-eyed soul singer produced from the UK. A testament to that is her duet with Al Green on "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart".
i did a piece on her a few months back at the behest of my partner after she appeared in the TV show The Masked Singer! It was a collection of her collaborations and lesser known tracks.
Today (12 Nov 2021) she has released her first single "Never Forget My Love" (co written with Dave Stewart (Eurythmics)) since "Walk With Me" last Dec.
