Mr. Excitement Jackie Wilson in collaboration with jazz giant Count Basie covered Aretha's "I Never Loved a Man" (retitled woman) on the 1968 "Manufacturers Of Soul" album. On it he also covered "Respect" which, although wasn't an Aretha original, is considered the definitive version.
