Totally unrelated to soul music but possibly many reader's 'second love', so I can't let the day pass by without congratulating the England squad for
ending 55 years of hurt and progressing past a semi-final for the first
time since 1966 and to the final of the Euros for the first time in our
history.
Not a pretty way of getting through with an own goal and a second attempt
at a dubiously awarded penalty (but the foul on Harry Kane should have
been a penalty) and we've not had the luck in the past with losing on
penalties, Maradona's 'hand of God' and Frank Lampard's disallowed goal in
South Africa World Cup, so it's about time the luck went our way!
Gil Azzzuri will be tough opponents but I think Spain showed in the semi
final that they are beatable and were very unlucky to lose on penalties as I
thought they were the better team on the night.
Ticket prices are ridiculously expensive reportedly now selling for up to
£6,500 on the black market, but even official prices are steep starting at
£295 cat 3, £595 cat 2 and £945 cat 1 but an experience of a lifetime,
especially if England can win!
