Kenyatta Rashon from Ypsilanti, MI got her start at the age of 16 in
musical theatre and in 2019 sang with Kanye West (but we won't hold
that against her!). She has just released her debut album "The Art Of
Keeping It Real" on Friday (18 Jun 2021).
It's a very good album with "W.Rong" and "Bluez Cluez" probably being the standouts.
It contains a track called "Free" (which was released as a single on 4
Jun) whilst not a straight cover, contains elements of Deniece Williams'
1976 classic.
