A new house/Nu Disco, call it what you will, track from Million Dollar Disco Machine which uses Ashford & Simpson's 'It
Seems To Hang On' mashed with Four Tops 'Ask The Lonely' which seems like
an unlikely combination, but seems to work. Those Levi Stubbs vocals are sublime!
I think it's only available on 12" distributed by
Juno. It was released 21 Apr 2021 and is already out of stock, so unless they
repress more, it's over to the likes of
Discogs
for a resale, but check with record dealers for availability first before paying a 'ransom' on Discogs.
Million Dollar Disco Machine is an alias for Al Kent, which is not, of course, 'the' Al Kent from Detroit who recorded on Ric-Tic in the 60s (whose real name was Albert Hamilton), but rather DJ/producer Ewan Kelly from Glasgow.
