Here's quite a pleasant debut album/EP from Maxine Davis with an old
school / retro feel, Most of the tracks have a 60s throwback sound ('Say
Yes' and 'You Could Have Told Me'), with a couple in crossover territory ('No
Surprise' and 'From Me To You').
Maxine Davis is originally from Rio Grande, TX, but relocated to L.A.
She debuted in 2016 aged 25 with a three track EP 'She Is Maxine'. Since
then she has released a further two singles ('You Could Have Told Me' and 'Mr Missed Your Chance') which are both
included on the album.
Hardly 'groundbreaking' and quite poppy but will probably be
appreciated by those who like the 60s sound.
