As soon as I heard the bassline I thought it was familiar, and then the
vocals kick in and it samples The S.O.S. Band 'The Finest' from 1986 which featured Alexander O'Neal and Cherrelle on vocals.
When I found this track, which has a release date of 29 Mar 2021, I also
found another, even more recent track (9 Apr 2021) released by them
which is a version/reworking/remix, call it what you will, of Willie '
Beaver' Hale's 'Groove On' from 1980, so I thought I may as well post them
together.
I've also posted the originals underneath each track.
I notice that they also have another new track called 'You've Got To Change' on their SoundCloud page, which sounds like a take on Santana's 'Evil Ways' from 1969. I also noticed that they have another on Traxsource 'Here's To You' which is their third single due for release 23 Apr 2021, Traxsource also states that 'You've Got to Change' is due out on that date with pre-orders being taken.
