Diquan Julius released a new single 'In My Feelings' on 23 Mar 2021
which alerted me to the previous single 'Soap Box' (released 27 Feb
2021) which I'd overlooked and which is far superior to his latest
offering which is the run-of-the-mill R&B fare. In
contrast, 'Soap Box' is a super soulful deep neo soul ballad featuring co-writer
Shedonnah White.
Diquan Julius is a country boy from South Carolina who sang gospel and
later moved to Washinton D.C. His first secular single was an afrobeat track
in 2019 (which is not good!), followed by
LaLa Land
in Dec 2020, which isn't too bad.
