One of the many highlights from Godfrey Fletcher's
Neo2soul podcast
we posted last week comes from Sharin Attamimi with "Nothing's Wrong?" which warrants and deserves it's own post, especially now that a music
video for it is available this week. A superbly soulful neo soul song with
a lovely jazzy undertone.
Sharin Attamimi is a classically trained pianist born in Indonesia with
roots in Yemen and raised in Perth, Australia. She's released 16 singles
and a full album since emerging in 2020.
Last year she was a contestant on Australian Idol and reached the last 24.
Her audition was a rendition of Silk Sonic's "Leave The Door Open" (clip
below).
Not only is she a great singer but also holds a degree in Neuroscience.
