Tallia Storm is a singer, songwriter, radio presenter from
Glasgow who hosts the breakfast show weekday mornings on Capital
Scotland. She rose to fame after being discovered by Sir Elton John in
2012 when she was just 13 and he invited her to open for him at Falkirk
Stadium.
John stated that she has "one of the most impressive soul signatures I've heard in 20 years" and she has also been co-signed by Nile Rogers who said that she is
"one of my favourite new artists in the world".
She made her first release in 2015 with a debut album "Teenage Years" following in 2017 and has now released around sixteen singles, her
latest being "Ballers" on 1 Mar.
Not surprisingly, she cites her influences as artist such as Jill
Scott, Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse and Alicia Keys to the jazz greats
like Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Washington.
UPDATE 7 Mar '23: If you had any doubts about The SoulStrutter Effect, this
release was not even on Amazon 100 yesterday when we 'belatedly' posted it and 24 hours later is
currently sitting at #24 (see screenshot below).
