A forthcoming single on 7 Apr '23 from DJ Spen's Baltimore based Quantize
Recordings by producer Krewcial
and vocalist Nimiwari is a
soulful house reworking of Anita Baker's "Whatever It Takes" from her 1990 "Compositions" album. It's barely recognisable to the original ballad as the tempo has been almost doubled from 66 to 125 BPM.
The song was co-written by Baker with the late Gerald Levert and fellow Levert
member Marc Gordon (i.e. not Marc Gordon who worked with Hal Davis and
later managed Fifth Dimension).
