The new single "All The Way" from Nicholas Cole featuring LeFrance is the second candidate so far this week for next week's SoulStrutter Selection of the Week, and it's only Wednesday (this will be posted Thursday). It gets even better with each play.
Never mind all the gimmicks and weird and whiny voices, the cussing, rapping, lo-fi tricks, sampling, rapping, and as it seems that rock guitar licks are gradually creeping in, that disguises in many cases the inability to actually sing, this is the real deal! Just good solid soul timeless soul music.
Nicholas Cole is a smooth jazz keyboardist from Goldsboro, NC, who blends jazz soul and gospel, so the vocals are from LeFrance and silky smooth they are too. He has backed several high profile artists such as, dare I say it Justin Bieber, Janet Jackson, Boys II Men and Tamar Braxton, to name a few, and has started to branch out on his own.
