Melody & The Soulbirds [2022] - Smells funky [Self Released] (Full EP)

A debut six track EP from Melody & The Soulbirds "Smells funky" from which the lead single "My body's your instrument" was released on 11 Mar which seems to have passed by unnoticed but it's a good jazzy, neo soul tune.

Sadly, nothing else on the EP comes near to it. It's a mixed bag of retro soul and funk and gets a bit rock oriented on some tracks (i.e "Kiss The Wine"). "It's Alright" is one of the neo Northern Soul type tunes with the incessant beat.

I can't find much about them but they are blue-eyed and appear to be from Montreal with Mélodie Vanier being the lead singer.
