In 2014 Reel People celebrated over a decade of making music
with a collection Reel People - The Remixes showcasing their
work. Now in 2021 they are presenting an update of it with the
2021 edition.
Reel People is a UK collective of producers Mike Patto, Oli Lazarus and
Toni Economides who collaborate with many other musicians and singers to
deliver their projects.
The compilation contains 30 tracks Joining the dots from Neo Soul through
to Broken Beat and Deep Soulful House including remixes of artists such as
Zo!, Phonte, Incognito, Tony Momrelle, Mousse T., Leon Ware, Portia
Moniquee, Cece Peniston, Maysa, Terri Walker & Angela Johnson.
The compilation is set for release on 19 Nov 2021, but a handful of
tracks are available to listen to on
BandCamp
where you can also pre-order.
The Mousse T. track featuring Sharon Phillips (who also featured on that
great track by
Rob Hardt & Ferry Ultra earlier this year) is particularly good.
