Here's something different from 19 year old London based jazz & soul
singer Akin Soul.
He founded 12 piece band Akin Soul & The Soul Tribe in south east
London in 2018 and they have performed across London. Akin is a
multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, keyboards and trombone and is a
singer/songwriter who is currently studying jazz at
Trinity Laban Conservetoire in
SE London.
He states his influences as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones,
Lalah & Donny Hathaway, Kim Burrell, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse and Corinne Bailey Rae. You can certainly hear the Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder
influences on this track.
I've included an earlier track he released in May 2020 below. He
certainly has his own unique sound, which is refreshing from a lot of the
cloned music being released.
