MF Robots [2021] - Gold [BBE]

The third single this year from ex Brand New Heavies members Jan Kincaid and Dawn Joseph as MF Robots. "Gold" will come with a set of, no fewer than, another seven mixes due for release on 10 Sep 2021.

In the meantime the original mix is set loose today (27 Aug 2021). I think it's the best of the three this year.

Kloud 9 Feat. Maysa [2021] - 24/7 Love [D3 Entertainment]

After a hiatus of nearly ten years the The Duffie brothers, Kelvis and Kendall, aka Kloud 9, released "21 Days" last year. Their first single this year is "24/7 Love", which features Maysa (Leak), released today (27 Aug 2021).

They have been a gospel duo since 1987 releasing their debut album "On Kloud 9" in 2002 which was picked up by Expansion where the remainder of their material has been released since then.

Cornell C.C. Carter [2021] Not Possible (DJ Spen & Gary Hudgins Radio Edit) [Quatintize]

Cornell C.C. Carter released "Not Possible" at the end of June with the 'promise' that a remix was in the pipeline. The Remixes are now available on Traxsource only at present as it's not due for official release until next Friday (27 Aug 2021).

There are four variants: DJ Spen & Gary Hudgins Remix, Impossible Dub, Alternate Vocal and Instrumental to choose from.

The tempo's been increased around 10% and there's more of a soulful house feel to the remix.

Evette Busby [2020] - Ready For Love [Self Released?]

Great new release from Evette Busby which came out 23rd Oct 2020.  Perfect feel and tempo for modern soul / steppers dance floors .. and what a voice!  I'm not sure whether this has already been in and out of the UK Soul Chart (as missed a few weeks), but if not I fully expect it to feature in the next week or so.  This is one of the best new releases I've heard this year.  If this was a rare vinyl discovery from 70/80s there would be a hullabaloo  ... but of course because it's digital only it will be overlooked and some 'enterprising' individual will get it pressed on limited edition vinyl and there will be a commotion! Get it now while its available on Amazon and other good digital sources.
