Flyt [2021] - Tune Down [Space Between Records] (Full EP)

I listened to this EP a couple of weeks ago on BandCamp and intended to post it but forgot about it, but it's now available on Spotify and available on all DSPs.

It's another of those breathy, ethereal, ambient, chill sounds which I'm going to dub 'sofa soul' for the sake of giving it a label. It has jazz undertones and is very pleasant on the ears unless you're not amenable to jazz (as some aren't).

Flyt are East London duo Emms ? (vocals) & Josh ? (producer) and have released four full length albums and around five singles since 2017, plus this new five track EP released 12 Jun 2021.

Two of the tracks, "Love Like This" and "Breath" were released on limited editiion, lathe-cut 7" vinyl in Feb but have now sold out.

Joedi Summerville [2021] - SoulPower: Coming Home [AbstractMindz] (Full EP)

Joedi Summerville is from Tallahassee, FL, and since 2019 has released two albums, four singles and his latest five track EP on 4 Jun 2021.

I can't find any info on him but from listening to the EP my guess is that he's a singer/producer as most of the tracks sound like they are samples.

The whole package has got 70's influences, the sleeve photo and the music.

"Be Thankful" is his take (and yet another) on William DeVaughn's 1974 classic which just sounds like a repeated loop, it doesn't go anywhere. "Let Me" samples Kool & The Gang's "Summer Madness". The other three tracks have familiar sections so no doubt use samples. "All I Know" is only 1:14 and sounds like it samples a 60s girl group such as The Lovelites.

The best tracks are "Uptown Diva" which sounds like something from a 70s Blaxploitation movie soundtrack (and possibly samples one, but perhaps I'm influenced by the line 'Foxy (Brown) Cleopatra (Jones)') as it's got that kind of groove, and "Let Me" (which contains expletives).

Zac Robertson [2021] - Polar Opposites [Self Released] (Full Album)

Australia's (particularly Melbourne) soul scene is pretty vibrant right now with The Bamboos, The Regime, Cinta, The Middle Name Dance Band, Kate Grealy, Plutonic Lab, Natalie Slade, Close Encounters, The Teskey Brothers and Haitus Kaiyote, to name a few, all releasing material in the last few months.

Zac Robertson is a singer/guitarist from Melbourne, who releases his debut album "Polar Opposites" on 2 Jul 2021. He's already released a couple of singles from it last year 'Closer" in Apr, which was his debut single, followed by "Slowly" in Sep.

I think my favourite track, putting aside the two singles, is "Hangin' Out" featuring JAYDEAN which has a lovely jazz guitar break, in fact the other track featuring him "Unnatural Disaster" is also quite cool but includes rap. All-in-all a very good debut album from an artist, based on this effort, I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more from.

Nina Cobham [2021] - what colour does this feel like? [Common Knowledge] (Full EP)

Nina Cobham is from Manchester and sings in both English and Spanish as she grew up in Spain. Having released six singles since 2019 to date, she released her debut four track EP on 23 Jun 2021 titled "what colour does this feel like?".
The EP includes two tracks already released as singes, "interested" (probably the best track) on 26 May and "Too Much" released a month earlier (28 Apr).
