Georgie Sweet is a relatively new UK artist from London who released her debut album "Misunderstood" in Oct 2020 to critical acclaim from JazzFM and Gilles Peterson.

Last Aug (2021) she released "Circles" on a 32 track compilation called "Futuristica 15".

Her latest single "Energy" is out today (16 Sep 2022).

7th Element Feat. N’namdi Bryant [2022] - Yah Mo B There [E7 Records]

7th Element is vocal band consisting of the four Greene brothers, Curt, Darren, Garth, and Kevin, as well as long-time friends, Marc Dwyer and Dean Dennis founded in Apr 1999.

They released a new single today which is an acapella take on "Yah Mo B There" arranged by the 'One Man Vocal Band' N'namdi Bryant who is also featured on the recording. 

The song was originally recorded by James Ingram and Michael McDonald in 1983 written by them along with Quincy Jones and Rod Temperton which reached #12 on UK pop chart.

To be perfectly honest I've never 'particularly' liked the song, but have to give it to these guys, they do an incredible acapella version!

DIXSON [2022] - 004DAISY [Roc Nation Records] (Full Album)

The new album from DIXSON is "004DAISY" released on Thursday (16 Sep 2022) which is his third album to date.

Two tracks have been released as singles "Heat" feat. Tinashe on 28 Aug and "Cherry Sorbet"  feat. Sevyn Streeter on 6 May.

After spending years in the background as a producer and vocal arranger, multi-instrumentalist DIXSON (aka Darius Scott), from Atlanta, GA, took part in The Voice in 2016 reaching the top 20 mentored by Pharrell Williams.

Samara Joy [2022] - Linger Awhile [Verve] (Full Album)

Samara Joy is the 22 year old daughter of Antonio McLendon who won The Sarah Vaughn Vocal Jazz Competition in 2019. She  has just been signed by the legendary jazz label Verve and releases her first album for the label "Linger Awhile" today (16 Sep 2022). It is her second album after releasing a self-titled debut in Jul 2021. Like her last album, the new album has many jazz standards such as "Misty", "'Round Midnight", "Guess Who I Saw Today" and "Someone To Watch Over Me".

Samara Joy's voice belies her 22 years and, unsurprisingly, she is from a rich musical background with, not only her father Antonio, but her grandparents Goldwire and Ruth McLendon who sang with Philadelphia gospel group The Savettes.

To promote the album a single "Can't Get Out Of This Mood" was released on 5 Aug 2022. 

A video for "Guess Who I Saw Today", which Nancy Wilson made her own in 1960 and was also covered recently on Mike Di Lorenzo's "What We Need" album featuring Denise Stewart on vocals, has literally just premiered on YouTube with the last hour or so.

She also does a version of Thelonius Monk's "'Round Midnight" posted only yesterday by Adam Blackstone & Jazmine Sullivan.

Chris Walton [2022] - Cravin' [Self Released]

Chris Walton is another artist from Boston, MA, and also a graduate of Berklee College of Music like Khamari posted earlier today.

He released his debut EP, "Bsides", in 2018 and followed it with another "Fade" in 2020. He's recorded his debut album in Nashville, which was due in July 2020 but as yet is unreleased.

I the meantime a new single "Cravin'" is out today.
