Natalie Oliveri & Samer Sharawi [2023] - The Simple Things [Self Released]

Natalie Oliveri is of Columbian/Italian descent raised in Chicago and now living between New York and London. Her musical style is a blend of Latin, neo soul and jazz.

Her catalogue dates back to 2009 with the release of her first album "Eclectic Soul". We posted her single  "Siente" in Oct '21 which featured producer Phinestro. from Brooklyn, NYC.

Since then she's released another three singles and an EP "Chill Guitar" which have been a mix of styles. Her last single was as a featured vocalist on Funk LeBlanc's retro "Trippin Love Crazy (Cheesecake)" in Feb '23 .

Her latest single "The Simple Things" features London born, half Syrian, half English, bassist Samer Sharawi who has performed with Take That and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, but we won't hold that against him!

Kerri Lashawn [2023] - Know For Sure [The Onyx Muse Movement]

Kerri Lashawn was born in Bronx, NYC, relocating to Charlotte, NC, in 2008 and began to making a name for herself in the music business starting out as a member of the R&B girl group Blaccatt. 

She has performed with several other groups since but is now breaking out on her own with her debut solo single "Know For Sure" released today.

Dean Brady [2023] - Falling [Self Released]

A superb debut single titled "Falling" from Brisbane born, singer songwriter Dean Brady. 

At the risk of putting off the 'first play merchant DJs', this was released way back on 8 Feb '23, but should that matter? This needs to be given airplay as it's one of the best tunes of the year to our ears ... a modern room floor filler for sure!

We look forward to hearing what he comes up with next, as so far he hasn't followed it up.

Ezre [2023] - Waste My Time [Platinum Vybe Recordings]

A very nice, jazz flavoured, neo soul single "Waste My Time" by Kayla Ezre Stovall has been sitting in our in-tray for a while (released by Chris Clay's Platinum Vybe Recordings on 26 May '23)  buried under so many new releases and is well overdue being posted.

We can't find out much about Ms Stovall other than she has released approaching 30 singles since 2014.

Koryn Hawthorn [2023] - Cry [RCA Inspiration]

Christian/gospel singer Koryn Hawthorn from Abbeville, LA, was a finalist in the eighth season of The Voice in 2015 aged only 17. She finished in fourth place which resulted in her being signed by RCA Inspiration.

A debut album "Unstoppable" arrived in July 2018 for which she received Grammy nominations. She followed it with a second album "I Am" in 2020.

Her latest single "Cry", her first since Jan 2022, was released on 2 Jul '23.

DJ Williams [2023] - Soldier of Love [Perception Records]

The title track of a forthcoming album "Soldier of Love" (due 29 Jun) by DJ Williams was released as the second single from the album on 30 May.

The lead single was "Black Man" (11 May) and he has subsequently released "Whipper Snapper" on 13 Jun. All singles are different in style, from the rock of "Black Man", the funky "Whipper Snapper" and the soulful "Soldier of Love".

Williams is a singer/songwriter, guitarist and producer born in Plainfield, NJ, grew up in Richmond, VA, and now lives in Denver, CO. He also performs with San Diego's Karl Denson's Tiny Universe and his own band Shots Fired.
