Kemi Sulola was born and raised in East London growing up with the sounds of reggae and afrobeats from her parents, mixed with gospel, Motown and jazz, as well as the sounds of hiphop and RnB introduced to her by her brothers. Inevitably her music is influenced by, and blends and extrapolates from, many of these styles.
She debuted in 2015 with an album "Fallen For You" which was championed by BBC radio's Trevor Nelson. she followed it with the highly rated "Nothing Compares" in 2018.
Her latest single, and first of 2024, is "T.I.M.Y" (which translates to 'til I met you') released today (25 Apr).
