Sierra Sellers [2021] - Need You Bad [Self Released]

There have been some great tunes released this week and here's another from Sierra Sellers "Need You Bad" which will definitely feature in the week's "The Dirty Dozen" tomorrow (which may have to be extended such is the wealth of good music released this week).

Sierra Sellers is yet another artist from Pittsburgh, I think that's the third artists I've posted from there today! Her last single "Lonely Feels" was also very good and was featured here the first week of April. She debuted in 2017 with a self-tiled EP and released another EP "Orphelia" in 2020.

Kem Feat. Wiz Khalifa [2021] - Lie To Me (Remix) [Motown]

A more R&B flavoured remix of "Lie To Me" released as a single last year from the album "Love Always Wins".

Kem teams up with Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa for this remix released yesterday (23 Jul 2021). I personally prefer the original (included below).

Kem is Kim L. Owens who was born in Nashville but raised in Detroit who signed to Motown for the release his debut album "Kemistry " in 2002. "Love Always Wins" (released last year and was one of my '2020 Review - The Best Albums') was his sixth album, all released by Motown.

Wesley Jackson [2021] - Another Shot [FarOut Society]

Wesley Jackson hails from Pittsburgh, PA, and says he was inspired to become a singer after a chance meeting with the actor playing David Ruffin (Leon Robinson) in The Temptations miniseries which was being filmed in his home town in 1998.  His music has a retro feel and his fifth single, "Another Shot", since debuting in Feb 2020 (with "Sunshine"), was released yesterday (23 Jul 2021).

Benny Atlas Feat. shiv [2021] - Next To Me [TLD Records]

I'm pretty sure I've posted all of Wolverhampton's Benny Atlas singles released so far, so why break the habit? I normally quite like his material but, unfortunately, I don't think "Next To Me" is up the same standard as some of his previous releases, but perhaps it will grow on me?

He is joined on this track by Zimbabwe born, Dublin based, DJ/singer/songwriter/producer shiv, which was released on Thursday (22 Jul 2021).
