Cornell C.C. Carter [2024] - The Change [Expansion Records]

Out today digitally, and on 7" vinyl paired with his single last July with Brian Power, "Sometimes", is the new single, "The Change", from Cornell C.C. Carter. You may well have already heard it on radio as it was sent out on advance last week.

In between he released a single with Narada Michael Walden "I'd Rather Dance With You" last Sep.

The release was held back for his two London shows last weekend (24/25 Feb) at Pizza Express.

The vinyl is available to order now from Expansion Records and is from a forthcoming album on Expansion later this year

Cornell C.C. Carter & Narada Michael Walden [2023] - I'd Rather Dance With You (Mixes) [Self Released]

Long time friends Cornell C.C. Carter and Narada Michael Walden collaborate on a new, jointly written, single "I'd Rather Dance With You".

Walden, now 71, is of course best remembered for a series of hit records in the late 70s such as "I Don't Want Nobody Else (To Dance with You)", "I Shoulda Loved Ya" and "Tonight I'm Alright". However, he began his career as a jazz drummer in the early 70s working with artists including Chick Corea, Jeff Beck, Alphonse Mouzon, Weather Report, James Mason prior to releasing his debut solo album "Garden Of Love Light" in 1976. He later became a songwriter/producer, after being mentored by Quincy Jones, for stars such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey along with a whole host of others including Stacy Lattisaw.

Carter's music is much loved in the UK especially since his 2016 album "In The Moment" and regularly tops the UK Soul Chart as he did with his last single "Sometimes" with Brian Power.

Their new single together comes with four variants, Radio Soul, Club Mix, House Mix and Euro Mix, so all bases covered there! Oddly, the Radio Soul mix has not been included on the Spotify release today, so we've included it below.

Brian Power & Cornell C.C. Carter [2023] - Sometimes [SoulHouse Music]

A teaser for the new single from Brian Power featuring Cornell C.C. Carter called "Sometimes" was posted a few days ago and is officially released today. 

As well as joining forces with Cornell C.C. Carter, Power wrote the song with Reel People's Mike Patto and Toni Economides along with Wenlery Sofia Maria Manuel (aka Enlery) who provides backing vocals. Patto and Economides also perform on and produced the song. 

It's a smooth modern soul dancer (not too dissimilar to his recent outing with Roachford "Got To Be") set at around 110 BPM that will surely get heads nodding and toes tapping, if not fully strutting your stuff to.

Dropping on Friday is a single from Brian Power featuring Cornell C.C. Carter called "Sometimes". 

We are unable to share it with you until release otherwise we will suffer the wrath of promoter 'The Talented' Mr. Ripley. You don't have long to wait and at least this gives you a heads up to look out for it.
